Figs Nature's perfect Food for Man (Backyard Fig Project)

Did you know that 80% of the calories consumed by land animals and birds are figs? That is a very significant statistic in terms of looking for the ideal food for humans. If most animals and birds are getting most of their calories from figs, does it not make sense that figs are the perfect food for man?  Figs are far superior than any other fruit, grain, seed, or animal product in terms of human nutrition.

We all agree there is a problem with the current food system. Currently most humans get about 80% of their calories from grain and seed products. Most people you know suffer from obesity, cancer etc. So obviously there is a problem with the foods they are consuming. When I say grain and seed products, I mean bread, bagels, pasta, rice etc. Grain causes digestive problems and can lead to irritable bowel and other digestive problems. Meat and dairy products aren't the answer either. Meat and dairy has been linked to cancer and it is inhumane to abuse animals.

So logically what is left to eat? If you said fruit, you are correct! But all fruit is not created equal. Most fruit has been hybridized and has changed significantly from the original fruit. Most fruit has many pests and has to be heavily sprayed. If you look at almost all fruit in the grocery store today, all of it requires intense efforts to grow it. Efforts like spraying for various pests. Most fruit trees will live only 20 years. But if we look at the fig tree, it can live forever. It virtually has no pests. So it requires no spraying. It is easy to propagate as well.

So your probably wondering why figs are such an ideal food? The two reasons are vitamin C and lysine to arginine balance. Figs have a very balanced level of vitamin C. Did you know that a high level of vitamin C can actually strip B-12 from your body? This could be part of the reason we see b-12 deficiency among raw foodists. Almost all fruit except figs have a very high level of vitamin C which can strip b-12 from your system.

Why is lysine and Argine so important? Virus's need arginine to replicate. Lysine shuts the virus down. So naturally we want to consume foods that are higher in Lysine than Arginine so that we don't get sick. Most fruit is fairly high in lysine except for oranges and dates. Nuts happen to be extremely high in Arginine meaning viral outbreaks are common when one consumes nuts. Viral outbreaks can be anything from various cold and flu symptoms to herpes, shingles, cold sores etc. Is it any wonder that during the winter humans experience cold and flu season? What do you see in almost every grocery store during the winter? Big cases of nuts!

Figs are said to be the most mineral rich fruit. Figs are the most similar to mothers milk. Figs have tons of lysine which is going to keep you free from viral outbreaks. They are easy to grow. They are the staple food of almost all animals and birds. Why wouldn't they be perfect for humans? Figs are really the only option humans have if they want to be healthy. Sometimes we just need to look to nature to find our path.

So what would happen if everyone started farming figs again like it was practiced during biblical times? What if humans replaced their grain calories with nutrient dense figs? Human health would only improve. Figs were farmed long before grain came on the scene. When you compare figs to grain, figs are better all around. The only problem is figs aren't as easy to transport and store as grain.

My husband and I would like to start a fig planting outreach in the South Texas area. We want to show people how to grow and propigate figs. We want to go into schools and encourage fig planting. We also want to get the elderly involved in growing figs. We also would like to come up with a backyard fig growing model where people can begin to grow figs in their backyard year around. If people consume more figs and less processed junk the rate of obesity will decrease and we will have a healthier planet.

Vegan Avo Goddess Spinach Dip

The Original Avo Goddess Spinach Dip Recipe

This is the recipe my husband came up with when we first went raw. This recipe does not include the dates. It does include nutritional yeast flakes and a little sea salt. You can find nutritional yeast flakes at many small health food stores. I have seen yeast flakes at Whole Foods, Akin's Natural health Food Store.

Ingredients:

Spices: tiny clove garlic, 1/2 tsp salt, few cranks black pepper, 1tbsp dill weed, 1tbsp parsley, 1/4 to 1/8 cup nutritional yeast flakes
Vegetables 1/4 sweet onion, small can of water chestnuts drained (optional), 3 large carrots, 8 oz chopped spinach, 4 large avocados

Food process the carrots, water chestnuts, onion, spices, yeast flakes and spinach until mixed well. Add in the 4 avocados and food process until everything is mixed well.

Serve with a side of any chopped veggies that you like. I like how this dip tastes on carrot sticks and celery sticks!

Salt Free Raw Vegan Avo Goddess Spinach Dip with Dates

This is the recipe I came up with without any added salt. The dates really help to bring out the great flavors and I don't miss the salt in this recipe.

Ingredients:

10-12 pitted dates soaked for a few hours in a tiny amount of plain water. In the video, I forgot to mention that you need to soak the dates before you use them. Soaking them helps them mix up better. Dates can be on the dry side and hard to blend and mix if they are not soaked ahead of time. You don't want to use a large amount of water to soak them, just a small amount. You will also be using the soak water for added sweetness. In the video, I said to use 5 dates, but the recipe I made wasn't quite sweet enough. I have since made it with about 10 soaked dates and the flavor comes out much better.I have also decided to take out he lime juice. I decided that it didn't really add much to the recipe.

4 large carrots, 10-12 small pitted dates and soak water, 1/4 sweet onion, 4 avocados, 2 small roma tomatos, 8oz chopped spinach, 1/4 cup nutritional yeast flakes (optional), 1tbsp dill weed, 1 tbsp parsley, half clove garlic (optional) a couple cranks of black pepper (optional)

Food process the 2 roma tomatoes, dates and soak water all the spices and (optional yeast flakes)
Make sure you food process these ingredients first or your food processor won't be able to mix everything together.

Next Add in the carrots and spinach and process them until they are mixed well.

Next add in the avocados and process until entire mixture is mixed well.

Serve with a side of any chopped veggies that you like. I like how this dip tastes on carrot sticks and celery sticks and romaine!

Check out the video down below to see me make this delicious dip.

Perky Boobs after Breastfeeding?

Perky Boobs after Breastfeeding?

Will breastfeeding cause you to have droopy breasts? The answer depends on the nutritional status of your diet and the number of years that you choose to breastfeed.

That's right I said the number of years that you breastfeed.

The longer you breastfeed the less sagging you will have.

Most people stop breastfeeding when their child is about 3-6 months old. This causes sagging because the breasts are all geared up to produce lots of milk during this time and when they have to abruptly stop this can cause the skin to sag.

A woman's body is designed and geared up to slowly wean the child over the course of several years.

When the breasts are allowed to slowly cut back on the amount of milk that is produced over several years the breast tissue is able to stay tight.

Unfortunately most mothers have to return to work around the 3 month mark and this is when most weaning takes place.

The next factor is the nutritional status of your diet. We want to eat large amounts of fresh fruit and vegetables and no processed foods. Stay away from the fried foods. Eat whole foods.

I have been breastfeeding for 2 years and 2 months and my boobs a not sagging! I also eat a high raw diet that includes lots of fresh raw fruit and veggies.
